Just messing about with an image taken in Cornwall. Printed as a CMYK, but only the cyan and magenta layers contain any information – so its just two layers.
The middle image is how it should look, in the bottom image the magenta layer has been printed upside down, they seem to still blend together and actually works better this way!
Stage One – Initial photographic image
Stage Two – Editing of image on phone using Photoshop – Applying filter
Stage Three – Separating of sections and dividing up the image. Each area can them be altered independently.
Ok finally started printing in preparation for Bainbridge Open Exhibition in May, beginning to remember why I stopped screenprinting and started using offset litho! So many things to go wrong. Anyway I’ll persevere.
Started working on some new ideas for printing @ Bainbridge Studios next year.
These will have to be screen printed as no litho
CMYK print with block colour, I would like to try something different with the framing. The Block print will be separate, set against the back of the frame, with the 4 colour print sat further foward – see the post above for an rough example.
